Comporta belongs to another stretch of Portugal's Atlantic coast, where rice fields meet pine woods and long beaches. A day can centre on a village stroll, time by the sea and a carefully chosen lunch.
This is a substantial drive from the Algarve, with timing depending on your hotel. We will explain the travel time before you choose it; an overnight stay or a stop on the way to Lisbon is often the more comfortable arrangement. Beach clubs and restaurants are subject to seasonal opening and reservations.
